Dr. Suzanne M. Buglione is the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Bristol Community College, focusing her work on innovation and strategy for student success and institutional excellence. She previously served there as the Dean of Teaching and Learning where she was responsible for faculty and staff development, academic support, library resources and experiential education. Her experience includes almost two decades of college instruction in undergraduate and graduate education and developing First Year Experience programming, outcomes assessment, prior learning assessment, and a center for service-learning and civic engagement. Suzanne has presented widely and has authored articles, chapters and a monograph related to the community college, the scholarship of engagement, adult learning, identity development and social justice, faculty development, shared governance, and organizational culture. Suzanne is the recipient the NSEE Outstanding Experiential Education Research/Dissertation Award, the IARSCLE Honorable Mention Dissertation Award, the League for Innovations in the Community Colleges Roueche Excellence Award and the League of Innovation 2018 Patricia Cross Fellowship. Suzanne earned a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in leadership in higher education.
