Student Success: Moving Beyond Campus Barriers
This facilitated discussion will provide an avenue for educators to discuss the processes and challenges involved with incorporating student success strategies throughout their campuses on a comprehensive scale. We ask participants to bring ideas to share from their campus, and to describe the efforts to identify barriers and improve student success.  If you have established student success programs or are just starting these success initiatives, this session will provide discussion, support, and networking opportunities with colleagues that can help campuses move forward on student success.

Rethinking Information Literacy: Using Credo's Modules and Library Created Tools
In this post-truth era, Information Literacy skills are crucial to student success. This panel of BCC librarians, faculty, and staff will demonstrate our multi-pronged strategy for teaching these skills using both Credo’s new Information Literacy Modules, and Library created active-learning resources. Directed at everyone who works with students, including tutors, TRIO and Project Link staff, as well as Faculty, AT professionals and Administrators, this session is designed to show educators how they can easily add interactive modules to their curriculum, with or without the Library.   Berkshire Community College is pioneering the integration of Credo's InfoLit Modules.  A February 2018 webinar presentation describing their approach was attended by over seventy educators across the United States and Canada, including Fordham University and Texas A & M.  In addition to Credo, BCC is adding Guide On The Side modules and other interactive tools to further augment online, interactive learning of information literacy principles.  Come join us an find out how these tools can work for you!

Berkshire Immigrant Stories and the Humanities
The Berkshire Immigrant Stories project enables us to collect and share the stories of immigrants, and, through humanities-based events, amplify those stories and create closer connections between campus and community. You’ll get hands-on experience to bring this to your campus.
